My LFW Pick: Peter Pilotto AW 2013

PeterPilottoAW2013

Design duo Peter Pilotto’s prints have made them one of the hottest name in fashion in the recent years. Their Autumn Winter 2013 collection is only strengthening their reputation, as stiffer and more rigid fabrics created a stronger, edgier look.

The shades and patterns mixing that I love about Peter Pilotto’s pieces were aplenty in this collection. Boxy coats in red, mustard, black and lavender decorated with coordinated colours caught my eye, as well as the cowhide jackets with crisscrossing white cords.

The duo played with volume in outerwear, with puffa jackets introduced last season, this time with curved peplum hems to give them a new edge.

The overriding element of this collection was colour, and lots of it; red, blue, green, yellow shades from mustard to almost-fluo, teal, navy, turquoise, even hints of pink. Beautiful, strong collection. I am a fan.
